Common Questions

Answers to Your Questions

How can I improve my smile?

Dr. Oser stays current with the latest research in the field of cosmetic dentistry, and he knows that creating beautiful smiles is both an art and a science. He'll begin by conducting a thorough examination of your smile, including an evaluation of your teeth and the health of your gum tissue, an assessment of the muscles of the head and neck, impressions of your teeth, bite records, necessary x-rays, oral pH test, and photographs of your smile. With this information, Dr. Oser can tell exactly what will be involved when it comes to giving you that WOW smile and what techniques can be used. He may suggest cosmetic bonding, porcelain veneers or Lumineers, teeth whitening, and/or Invisalign clear braces. CEREC single-visit crowns and tooth-colored fillings may also be involved. We'll explain your options and help you decide which ones will deliver the smile of your dreams.

I want straighter teeth, but I don't want to wear metal braces. What do you suggest?

Dr. Oser creates straighter, more beautiful smiles with Invisalign clear braces, as well as porcelain veneers and Lumineers. Learn more about instant orthodontics with veneers, then call to schedule your cosmetic dentistry consultation.

I have bad breath. Can Dr. Oser help?

Yes! Dr. Oser will investigate the source of your bad breath, then suggest treatments to eliminate odor and restore freshness. You'll feel better about yourself, and other will appreciate it, as well! Learn more about Dr. Oser's approach to treating bad breath, then schedule an appointment.

What are single-visit crowns?

With innovative CEREC technology, we can create custom crowns and onlays in about an hour. This means that in just one visit, you can get a custom-made, all-white, reliable restoration. No temporary. No follow-up visit. It's that simple.

What happens if missing teeth are not replaced?

Missing teeth can lead to a host of other problems, including additional tooth loss. Research shows that if a missing tooth is not replaced, up to 20% of adjacent teeth will fall out in the next 4 to 8 years. Missing teeth also cause remaining teeth to shift, causing spaces between teeth, food impaction, bite collapse, chewing alteration, and TMJ pain. You're also more susceptible to gum disease, a serious health condition that can significantly shorten your life span. At your consultation, ask Dr. Oser about replacing missing teeth with dental implants, the natural-looking way to beautifully restore your smile for the long-term.

I avoid dental visits because of anxiety, is this normal? Can you help?

Many people fear dental visits. We understand dental anxiety and offer a solution to help you overcome your stress. With conscious sedation, we can help you gain full peace of mind and body so that you can receive the dental work you need – and deserve.

I dislike the numbing that seems to last all day following dental treatments. Can Dr. Oser do something about this?

Absolutely! We offer OraVerse, the first product of its kind to quickly reverse the numbing effects of local anesthesia. You can get back to your busy day without suffering the annoying, and offering lingering effects, of facial and mouth numbing.
