Composite: Composite fillings are made from a mixture of resins and fine particles designed to mimic the color of natural teeth.
Glass Ionomer Cement: This dental restorative material is also tooth-colored, but it's made from glass and acrylic resins. GIC tends to be more fragile, so it's often used as a filling near the tooth root or gum line where biting pressure isn't an issue.
Porcelain: Used for indirect restorations such as crowns, inlays, overlays, and veneers, porcelain fillings are durable and stain-resistant.
