In fact, cosmetic dentistry can be used to correct a multitude of dental issues. Cosmetic dentistry procedures include:

Bridges: Dental appliances that replace missing teeth and restore your proper bite. Bridges are also called "fixed partial dentures."

Cosmetic bonding: Tooth-colored material used to improve discolorations, fix fractures or broken teeth, and close gaps.

Cosmetic contouring: This simple procedure is used to fix crooked, chipped, cracked, and overlapping teeth.

Cosmetic fillings: Usually created from porcelain and composite resins, most cosmetic fillings are colored to match natural tooth enamel.

Crowns: Usually made from durable porcelain, crowns are used for a variety of dental restorations such as attaching bridges, covering implants, capping root canals, and strengthening weakened or fractured teeth.

Crown lengthening: This procedure refers to the reshaping of gum tissue and bone removal to fix what's referred to as a "gummy" smile.

Dentures: These dental prostheses can be a full set - uppers and lowers - or a partial set to replace missing teeth. Dentures mimic the look and feel of natural teeth are usually made from a combination of metals and synthetic materials.

Grafts: Grafts take small amounts of tissue from other areas, such as the palate, to correct severe oral health issues such as periodontitis, exposed roots, bone loss and gum recession, and root sensitivity.

Implants: Dental implants are used to replace missing teeth or anchor dentures. Titanium posts replace tooth roots, and sometimes porcelain crowns are added.

Ridge augmentation: This procedure fixes gum tissue abnormalities and restores the natural contour of your gums.

Veneers: Ultrathin shells, usually custom-made from porcelain, used to correct cosmetic dental problems such as discolorations, fractures, and gaps.

Whitening: In the dentist's office teeth whitening, or dental bleaching, uses high-concentration whitening products combined with special lighting to brighten stained teeth.
